Jade Cross Brussels Sprouts is a hybrid, early maturing variety. Jade Cross was a 1959 All-America Selections winner for taste and performance. Plants produce 30″ stalks that are loaded with “mini cabbages” or sprouts. Sprouts are consistently around 1″ in diameter and uniform in size. Sprouts may be harvested individually, or wait until full maturity and harvest the entire stalk. Jade Cross Brussels Sprouts have excellent flavor for roasting or sauteing, but also hold well when frozen. Blanch, dry and freeze for Brussels Sprouts year round.
